WithersRavenel has been recognized as one of the 2026 Healthiest Employers of North Carolina in the 100-to-499 employee category. The national awards program recognizes organizations that prioritize employee well-being and invest in healthier workplaces.
As a 100% employee-owned company, WithersRavenel supports its employee-owners through its Thrive Wellbeing program. The program combines educational resources, work-life balance initiatives, health and wellness activities, and opportunities for employee-owners to participate based on their interests, schedules, and personal goals.
Employee-owner feedback helps shape these offerings. Following a recent benefits survey, WithersRavenel is expanding its open enrollment approach and year-round benefits education to provide greater clarity about available resources and help employee-owners make informed decisions.
Educational offerings include flexible, recorded Microtraining sessions covering topics such as functional nutrition, holistic wellness, and the use of technology to support long-term health. WithersRavenel also provides nutrition counseling resources, an employee assistance program, a library of well-being materials, and nutritious snacks and hydration support for field-based employee-owners.
Opportunities to stay active and connected include the Run/Walk Club, team sports, companywide golf tournaments, #MoveToThrive challenges, Wellbeing Bingo, community walks, and local endurance events. In 2026, employee-owners have participated in or plan to participate in the Valentine’s Heartbreaker Marathon Relay in Greensboro, the Krispy Kreme Challenge in Raleigh, the Asheville Chamber Challenge, Run the Quay in Fuquay-Varina, and several awareness walks.
“I believe WithersRavenel distinguishes itself by consistently prioritizing employee well-being as a core component of the overall employee experience,” said Jess Vollmer, Chief People Officer at WithersRavenel. “Our commitment to work-life balance is not simply stated. It is actively demonstrated through the alignment of our well-being initiatives with how we operate day to day. This intentional approach reinforces our position as an employer of choice across North Carolina and reflects a culture that genuinely values and supports its people.”
All honorees complete an annual assessment measuring six areas of organizational health and well-being, including culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communications and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analytics. The Healthiest Employers scoring methodology uses a 1-to-100 rubric and assigns each applicant a Healthiest Employers Index to compare organizations of similar sizes.
